Dear Dermot
Thank you for arranging for us to meet with the renovation supervisor on Friday. It was very helpful to go through the list of outstanding small items and choose our light fittings on our recent trip. I know that things would have been looked after by you just as efficiently even if we had not been in Valencia last week. It is great to see that the apartment is now so close to being ready for occupation and with the awful Summer weather in Ireland, we are definitely going to be back again shortly.

As we near the end of the renovation process, I have to say that the whole experience has been remarkably straightforward from start to finish. When we travelled to foreign cities before, we often thought "wouldn't it be great to have a place here"? However, the combination of language issues, lack of local knowledge and the general hassle factor of buying in an unfamiliar place always defeated the initial positive thoughts of purchasing abroad. It was fortuitous that we were put in touch with you at a time when we were reading so many positive things about Valencia. While we knew the city as tourists, we did not have any knowledge of the best areas from a property perspective. Fom the start, your advice and information has been extremely helpful. With your pointers, we were able to properly assess the property websites that we were researching as well as having recommendations from you of places worth considering.

Although we started off with what we thought were firm views of where we would like to buy, we can now see why you were championing the area of El Carmen, in which we eventually bought. We can now see all the advantages over the other areas that we had been considering. Even small but important pieces of advice, for example buying at least 2 floors up in case a bar is opened on the ground floor, are things we never would have thought of. The whole purchase process was very straightforward even when compared to the Irish model with which I am very familiar. The facility of having someone on the ground who knows the Valencian mindset in negotiations is something that was invaluable.

All in all, the constant updates from you be email and telephone at every stage of the process, as well as the co-ordination of the legal and tax advice, ensured that what I feared could be a long drawn out process was completed in about 6 weeks from when we first saw the apartment to the notarial deed being signed. I would have no hesitation in advising friends and colleagues in using your service if they ever thinking of buying in what is one of Europe's most dynamic cites - with fantastic weather as a bonus.
