David Fisher to Build his Revolving Tower in Valencia

World renowned architect, Dr. David Fisher is to build one of his unique revolving towers in the city of Valencia. He has had a series of fruitful meetings with the city’s mayoress, Ms. Rita Barbera and both are in agreement that Valencia will be the location for one of his space age structures.

Dr. Fisher was lauded in 2008 with the World Architect of the Year award as well as being selected by Time magazine as one of the best inventors of the year for his “Dynamic Tower” design.

The Dynamic Tower design is truly mould breaking design-wise as well as being more than energy efficient. The majority of the structure is built off site by means of pre fabrication with only the skyscraper’s central core being built on site. This construction method allows cost savings of 30%, a build time of a mere 22 months and a significant reduction in workers from the usual 2,000 to a mere 90.

Each floor is truly independent and can revolve at a speed of 1 metre every 10 seconds ; taking 90 minutes for a full rotation. Therefore to the naked eye the building never appears the same, not once in a lifetime. Dr. Fisher describes the buildings as being : “designed by time, shaped by life”.

The power to move the individual floors comes from giant wind turbines located between each floor. The building will also have solar panels on the roof thereby allowing the structure to not only be energy sufficient but to actually sell excess power to the local electrical grid.

Dr. Fisher has admittedly fallen in love with the city of Valencia, describing its wonderful light as being its principal attraction. He sees the city as being a “perfect symbol of modernity”

The mayoress Ms. Barbera has let it be known that she intends to facilitate Dr. Fisher and sees the area of the Grao as being the most suitable area in the city to house his revolutionary revolving tower. It will complement wonderfully the planned F1 neighbourhood that will be built in the same area as well as the emblematic “V” shaped Twin Towers that will face the city’s sea front.
