The news just gets better and better for the city of Valencia . Having established itself as a world beater when it comes to landing prestige sporting events such as Formula 1, the America 's Cup, World Motorbike Championships as well as horseriding's “Global Champions Tour”, it has now added tennis's A.T.P. to its ever increasing list of achievements. The A.T.P. Valencia Open 500” will take place from the 2 nd to the 8 th of November this year with a total prizemoney of €2 million and a much coveted batch of 500 A.T.P. points up for grabs. The competition will take place in the “Agora” building which is the latest addition to the city's architectural gem namely the “City of the Sciences Complex” :

The venue will have a capacity of 6,500 spectators with the tennis courts being covered after each days' play and being used as no less than 2 discos every night with the discogoers being able to select the music they would like to hear beforehand via the competition's webpage.
Thirty countries in total are expected to broadcast the event globally further adding to the city's growing status worldwide as the epicentre for top class sport right on the very shoreline of the Mediterranean. With over 300 days of sunshine a year and an average annual daily temperature of almost 18 degrees Celsius, Valencia is being called the “Florida of Europe” and justifiably so.
