On the 31st of December 2000, the average price of property in Valencia city per square metre was €785.34*. In the last 8 years average property values in Valencia city have increased by 240%, that said, Valencia is still significantly undervalued relative to Spain's other principal cities.
As of the 31st of December 2008, the average price per sqm of property in Valencia was €2,668 whereas the average price per sqm in Spain's top 6 cities was €3,180, 19% more expensive than Valencia (Valencia being Spain's third biggest city). This significant undervaluation coupled with the arrival of Sailing's Olympics the America's Cup, Formula 1 in 2008 until at least 2014 and the Valencia F1 Neighbourhood will continue to make Prime Valencian Property all the more attractive especially to investors.
